Creating a post
What is a post?
A post is an additional page for content.
It can be open and available to all, or closed and available only through a paid subscription. In order to make posts closed, you have to create subscription levels. A detailed guide to subscriptions can be found here.
Please note: adding a post to a paid subscription is only possible after creating a paid subscription.
How to create a public post on the platform?
1. To create a new post, click Create on the author’s page.
2. Choose Public post, accessible to everyone.
3. Come up with a name for the post. Add content. Write in the language of the country where you plan to sell the content. In addition to text, you can also add photos or videos.
- Adding images: jpeg, tiff, png files up to 10 MB.
- Adding videos*: you can add videos from YouTube or Vimeo.
*Only links to video URLs can be added to lava.top, uploading video files is not possible. First you have to upload the video to one of the available services, then add a link to the video to the post.
4. After filling out all information, click Next and go to the next section to continue creating your product.
5. Add your own cover or keep the one suggested by the platform.
Cover size: 766х385, up to 10 MB.
You can add the Can contain 18+ content flag. The cover of such a post will be blurred, and a warning will appear for the reader.
6. Configure post accessibility settings. For a public post that is available to all users on the platform, select "Everyone."
7. If you have not filled in your personal information, then the system will suggest that you fill it in. Fill in the required details.
8. Click Publish button.
Congratulations, you have published your first post!
How to create a private post on the platform?
❗️In order to make posts closed, you have to create subscription levels. You can read about creating subscription levels and attaching private posts to them here.
1. To create a new post, click Create on the author’s page.
2. Choose Private post for subscribers.
3. Come up with a name for the post. Add content. Write in the language of the country where you plan to sell the content. In addition to text, you can also add photos or videos.
- Adding images: jpeg, tiff, png files up to 10 MB.
- Adding videos*: you can add videos from YouTube or Vimeo.
*Only links to video URLs can be added to lava.top, uploading video files is not possible. First you have to upload the video to one of the available services, then add a link to the video to the post.
4. After filling out all information, click Next and go to the next section to continue creating your product.

7. For a closed post which can be accessed after payment, you have to choose a subscription level. The same closed post can be attached to several subscription levels.
